Who is David Wang?

David was recognized by Discovery Digital Networks on Youtube titled “This Student’s Powerful Answer to Bullying” for his story of rising above his experiences with bullying through fitness as a haven.

Since then, he has gone on to inspire hundreds of thousands through opening up about his story and passion for health, fitness & wellness.

In 2016, he was signed as a physique and strength-based fitness model & athlete with Naturally Fit Agency Los Angeles and also received recognition from various other media like NextShark, The Epoch Times, LittleThings, and more.

He was recognized as a role-model for various accomplishments in the fitness space.

Since then he has gone on to help people all around the world with their health & fitness.

With his story and with over a decade of experience in the realm of heath, wellness & fitness, David utilized this opportunity to craft an educational and empowering evidence-based coaching process customized to each person’s needs.

He currently works with clients online all around the world alongside his team of expert coaches and nutritionists.

Through his coaching process, David aims to guide people from all around the world to transform their bodies, minds and ultimately their lives by equipping them with the knowledge, mindsets and habits to succeed long-term.

And ultimately to help those who we help become the “hero” of their own story through the discipline, skills and habits that are built along the way through working towards their fitness goals.

Why is David passionate about this?

Well, he dealt with numerous challenges with bullying and abuse growing up as a child.

He felt lost as a kid.

And he felt a lack of purpose.

Yet deep down, he aspired to inspire others.

To be a positive influence on others in this life.

And to live life to the fullest.

Today, we’ve seen people who we’ve helped come back from cancer to confidence and health.

We’ve seen people no longer go to food as a coping mechanism for stress, and overcome obesity.

And we’ve seen people who have built “Hollywood” status physiques inspired by movies like “Fight Club” and Superheros.

Too many people are stuck when it comes to transforming their bodies, and they search and search or jump on “quick-fixes,” extreme and impersonal infomercial programs, restrictive fad diets, or work with coaches who do not educate them on how to achieve long-term success when it comes to their health & fitness.

And being that we help busy and high performing career professionals, we’ve seen many people let themselves go and achieve a lot with their career and work life, but struggle to be the best they can be because they’ve let their fitness and health go to the wayside.

Recognizing this gap, David and his team work with people who resonate with this and want to get lean, strong and understand that “Life-Long Transformation” is a process and not a quick-fix.

His signature process is built around rebuilding foundational knowledge surrounding training, nutrition and mindset to support long-term success, re-equipping people with better environments, tools & systems for accountability, and reinforcing quality habits to ultimately shift self-image.

He’s on a mission to eliminate the confusion, lack of empowerment, and “quick-fixes” in the fitness industry…and replace it with education and coaching-based transformation for lifelong success.

Another part of the mission behind David Wang Fitness is to inspire, motivate and give you the tools you need to help you on your fitness journey. To me, fitness is not just going through the motions, lifting weights, and working out - it encompasses growth in both the body and mind.

Fitness has helped me continue growing in other aspects in life and it would be an honor to help you through this venue.

In my opinion, the most fulfilling part about living a fitness lifestyle is the journey - smart training and nutrition combined with intensity, passion, and proper guidance will reap you results.

My Past to my Present:

In 2015, Discovery Networks offered me the opportunity to share my story. It has been an honor to share how fitness has changed my life with the world through this video, and I hope sharing it with you can inspire you to make fitness part of your life.

My Personal Story and How Fitness Changed My Life

I was never the most athletic individual growing up and was a very skinny kid. Prior to training, I was antisocial and depressed. I would sit at the computer for hours each day playing games and was ultimately unhappy and insecure. When I was a child, I was bullied and abused countless times as well. One day, I was so frustrated with my life that I broke my hand and went to the hospital after punching a wall. This was a turning point for me, and I realized I needed to find a healthier outlet and I began pursuing fitness with the goal of living a happier and more fulfilling life.

I started working out in my room as a young teen, but it was around 16 years of age that I truly began training seriously. It became a haven. Overtime, I began to feel incredible when I trained and saw myself getting stronger and progressing. To this day, the joy I get from physically seeing my own progress from training and seeing progress clients make towards living healthier lifestyles, is truly special. Living a fitness lifestyle has helped me develop confidence, work ethic and dedication and I am thankful for every day to train and help others in a similar manner.

It helped me build confidence to pursue the dream of helping others through fitness when I was a shy, quiet kid.

It helped me build confidence to begin putting myself out there to network, socialize and meet others.

And it helped me build confidence to travel the world when I used to be afraid of the world.

When I entered college, my studies became beneficial in helping me understand more regarding health and fitness. Today, I am grateful for each opportunity to use this knowledge to help others.

As a child, I was bullied constantly for who I was, was often the youngest in my class and was one of the skinniest and weakest kids growing up. Today, I am thankful for these instances as sharing them has allowed me to inspire others and instill belief in others that if they believe, they can achieve.

My Training History and My Beliefs in the Present:

I hold a Bachelors of Science with honors in Human Biology from the University of Southern California.

I became certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine at 18, and am now also certified as a corrective exercise specialist and fitness nutrition specialist. In June 2017, the NASM awarded me with their Master Trainer designation as the youngest Master Trainer at a San Diego Summit following in-person assessment.

I have trained with clients of all ages ranging from 17 - 65 years old. Personally, I train diligently throughout the year basing my programming around physique development and strength development and have also incorporated calisthenics and mixed martial arts training in various arts like Krav Maga , Muay Thai, Jiu-jitsu and Jeet Kune Do.

I am a huge proponent of achieving your physical goals naturally. To me, it is about utilizing the power of the mind, the power of focus, and proper knowledge in regards to fitness and nutrition. Also, the most fulfilling thing to me about living a fitness lifestyle is the journey and the small accomplishments that you attain. Recognizing that you are able to change with training transfers to other aspects of life like confidence development and improved health. I sometimes get asked whether I have used any sort of substances like steroids or hormones to achieve my current physique and shape. The answer is NO.

To me, the greatest fulfillment is in the journey and recognizing that you have the power to achieve your goals.

By staying focused in training and setting achievable yet challenging goals, results will far outweigh those obtained from sub-par focused training. Our goal is to be there to motivate you, keep you focused and help you believe in yourself along the way.

With my background in human biology and certifications in corrective exercise, nutrition and personal training, I aim to utilize my education to the fullest by helping to guide all types of clients from young teenagers to elderly individuals in efficient and safe ways to obtain their fitness goals.

Founder of David Wang Fitness, you’ll see David’s face on our social media pages. When he’s not addressing inquiries from people reaching out for help via media or consults, he’s usually creating content, improving the backend operations, or working on improving the coaching process. He’s often immersed in doing outreach, learning or coaching the team to ensure we deliver on our premium 5-star coaching services.

Parker

Coach

Parker holds a Masters in Human Performance with emphasis in Strength Training and Conditioning. He holds a plethora of qualifications including being a certified sports nutritionist with the ISSN, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a USA Weightlifting Coach 1 & 2 Qualification, alongside corrective exercise and performance enhancement specializations with NASM. He focuses on evidence-based practice and aligns with our mission of providing the best guidance possible to those we serve. He comes from a family of professional golfers, and he’s also a certified personal trainer with NASM and has played a role in helping over 100+ people to improve their fitness and health. He’s also succeeded on his own fitness journey packing on about 40 pounds of lean mass as well, and so he knows firsthand what it takes to get to a high level of fitness as well.

He has a background in electrical, electronics and communications engineering, enjoys stoicism and philosophy, and is inspired to help others become better versions of themselves through fitness as a media specialist on our team.
